easiest way to a Velious bracer is in the arena of Kael (the Giant’s city). If you manage to obtain the nodrop leather bracer component, then raise yourPerfect World Money Velious dwarf faction up to amiable, and you’ve got yourself a bracer.

8.7.4. Dusty Soriz Worker Pouch

The Dusty Soriz Worker Pouch is, by far, the best pulling item available to monks prior to the incredibly rare Ton Po’s Mystical Pouch from the Plane of Time. You don’t need to doPerfect Power Leveling any faction raising to obtain it; you just need a few friends and a little bit of luck. The Pouch summons unlimited Shissar Fangs, which are throwing items that have a longer range than the Velious quest bracer shurikens. Actually getting the pouch can be tricky, butPerfect World Gold fortunately you’ve got your hands on a monk guide.

Before you head to get your Pouch, make sure to grab a couple friends. You all ought to be at least around level 60, and make sure to bring a tank, a healer, a snarer (depending on your level, a druid can sometimes be both the healer and snarer in this situation), and if possible a slower. Next, turn on invisibility and head down to the Safe Cart at the bottom of the Ssraeshza Temple; refer to the maps below (follow the black line).

situations. There are a large number of throwing items available to use, although the most notable (and useful) I’ll list here.

8.7.1. Shurikens and Throwing Daggers

They’re nothing special, but they get the job done. You can find shurikens and throwing daggers at many general vendors around Norrath, or on some weapons merchants. They don’t fly far, but they’re better than nothing, and before you level up to your 50s and beyond, they’ll probably be what you use to pull most of the time.

8.7.2. Javelins

Javelins are player-made throwing items that have an incredibly long range. If you can findMaple Story Power Leveling a smith with high enough skill to make them for you (or if you decide to go into smithing yourself even better), stock up on as many of these as you can (especially the Maplestory Power Leveling Antonian variety). Usually monks save Javelins for special occasions when they need to make very long distance pulls, but if you know you can keep a constant supply, feel free to use them most of the time.

8.7.3. Velious Quest Bracers

Another option for pulling utensils is the Velious Quest bracers, from any of the three factions. Each bracer, upon right clicking it, summons an unlimited amount of no rent pouches, along with 4 stacks of enhanced-range no rent shurikens. The problem with this option is that finding a leather bracer is an extremely tricky thing to do; for each faction, random Velious armor pieces drop from random monsters in certain zones, and finding one particular piece is very uncommon. Add in the fact that you’ll need one or two groups to kill the monsters that drop the armor pieces, andPerfect World Coins you’ll find you’re in for a very tough and mostly unrewarding endeavor. If you do decide to go for it though, the

8.6. Items: Lost Dungeons of Norrath

Finally, doing large amounts of Lost Dungeons of Norrath (LDoN) adventures can earn you gear that’s almost equalMaplestory Mesos to the gear that you’ll find dropping in elemental planes (very high level zones). Although most players can’t invest the time to get the absolute best items, there’s plenty of intermediate armors, weapons, and augmentations that can be purchased along the way. If your guild isn’t capable of taking on the biggest creatures or if you don’t have a guild, doing lots of LDoN adventures are the most effective way to improve your gear.

Good item sets to look at are (from least to most powerful and expensive):

Maple Story Gold The Sludge Covered Set from Guk (South Ro camp)
The Bone-Dust Set from Mistmoore (Butcherblock camp)
The Geomancer Sandshaping Set from Takish-Hiz (North Ro camp)
The Battle-Worn Set from Rujarkian Hills (Eastern Commonlands camp)
The Immortal Set from Mistmoore
The Mucus-Drenched Set from Guk

If you take the time to buy the full Mucus-Drenched set, along with high quality augments to fill the slots, you’ll find your gear will be more thanMaplestory Gold adequate.

A great database for an entire listing of LDoN items can be found at:

8.7. Items: Stuff to Pull With

Being a monk, pulling is something that you must be prepared to do at all times. And to pull, you ought to have a throwing weapon available, so that you can pull properly in all

bandages, and whatever else is to invest in weight reducing bags. 100% weight reduction bags are the most useful, but they usually cost quite a lot. Bags with lower reduction percentages, like 25%, are generally much easier to obtain, but they still don’t allow the monk to carry heavy objects. Although the prices on weight reduction bags will vary, you can buy a Bag of the Tinkerers from the gnomes in Solusek A for 5250 platinum (with high faction and charisma; grab a couple cheap high CHA items and get an enchanter to buff you). Getting a 100% weight reduction bag (after you’ve played for a long period, you’ll probably have 3 or more) is an event that dramatically changes the way you’ll play as a monk. Grab one as soon as possible.

8.4. Items: Getting Lucky

Another common way monks attain items is by getting lucky in experience groups. Occasionally while hunting, you might stumble upon an uncommon or rare creature, which could drop a nice item. If it does, the group will generally give the item to a person who can use it (and have them use the /random command to roll for the item if there’s more than one person), or just have everyone roll on the item. As there’s generally only one monk in a group, if a monk item drops that a monk needs, generally the group will give that item to the monk. Additionally, if it’s a sellable item that the monk can’t use but wins with a dice roll, thenMaple StoryMaple Story Mesos Power Leveling it’s easily convertible into cash, which can be used to buy nice items off other players.

8.5. Items: Earnings from Guild Raids

An upshot from being in a guild that raids boss monsters is that those boss monsters drop loot, and occasionally some of that loot will find its way to you. The best items in Maplestory Power Leveling the game come from higher end raids, and you’ll find many items that drop from lower- levels raids to still be very useful. Joining a guild and becoming an active and valuable member is one of the best ways to continue to upgrade your gear; you might only get two pieces per month, but when you add that on top of how you upgrade yourself normally, your gear will improve much quicker.

8.3. Other Options

The items listed above are certainly not a comprehensive list of the monks items available; they’re merely a sampling to get you starting, and thinking alongMaple Story Gold the right track. If you see one of the items for sale and another better item that’s not listed, make sure you take the unlisted one; always find the best item for your money.

Aside from the armors listed above, there’s a certain type of armor called ornate armor available. Ornate armor patterns dropMaplestory Gold from special monsters, or from random monsters in high-level Planes of Power zones. The Ornate armor is on par with, if not better than, the items that top out each category in theMaplestory Mesos item list above. If you’ve got the spare money to buy Ornate armor (and are around level 60), it’s certainly worth the money.

8.3.1. A Note About the Fungus Covered Scale Tunic

The Fungus Covered Scale Tunic, also known as the “Fungi Tunic”, is one of the most useful items a young monk could own. Although it’s expensive, it’s well worth the investment. At first glance it seems sub par, but the regeneration effect offsets the downsides of the tunic. The tunic is an invaluable aid to soloing, as well as great to have on in groups to reduce the amount of heals needed. So to reiterate: if a good deal on a Fungi Tunic comes along, take it; you won’t regret it.

8.3.2. A Note About Weight Reduction Bags

As you know, monks have a weight limit. One way to have a compromise between abiding by the weight limit while still carrying around a decent amount of gear, food,
