10. A Final Tip,Eq2 Power Leveling and a Final Note
As the guide is ending, it seems only fitting that you should be informed of another one of a monk’s strengths: running away and not dying. Aside from the disciplines that a monk has to stay alive, you also have the technique of “feign flopping” at yourEq2 Gold disposal. Feign flopping refers to feigning death, getting up and running a few feet, and then feigning death again. Because monsters usually take a second to agro on you, you can use feign flopping to slowly make your way out of a dangerous situation if your group/raid has died. Although slow, it’s usually very effective.
And onEverQuest2 Gold that happy note, we’ve reached the end of my monk guide. I hope you found it as enjoyable to read as it was enjoyable for me to write, and with luck it’ll help you navigate your way through the perilous journey of monkhood.

If you have the faction for the quest, head into Skyshrine and track down Commander Leuz. He’s on the first floor, and relatively easy to find. Say, “I will volunteer” to him, and he’llEverQuest2 Platinum give you a toolbox.
Now, head to the Western Wastes with a group of friends (level 65, 2 groups if lower level). When you emerge from the tunnel, turn around andEverQuest Power Leveling run up the hill behind you; if you keep walking back a bit, you should run into Scout Charisa. If she’s holding a bag in her hand, that means that someone’s done the quest recently, and you’ll haveEq2 Plat to wait 12-18 hours for her to respawn, but if her hands are empty, you’re good to go. Hand her the bag, and 8 giants will spawn a distance away, including a Kromzek Captain. Single pull the Captain away from the rest of the giants (it’s not too hard), and proceed to kill him. After he’s dead, loot the copper disc. Hand the disc to Charisa, and she’ll give you a Robe of Benevolence. Hand her the Robe, and she’ll give you the??

The Bracer of Benevolence
One of the hardest slots to find a good item for as a monk is our bracers, but the Bracer of Benevolence is an easy quest to complete with a couple friends, and fills the spot up very nicely. To perform this quest, you first need to have your Velious dragonEverQuest Gold faction up to ally, so if your faction isn’t there yet, you can’t attempt this quest. If you want to raise your dragon faction, the easiest way is to kill mass amounts of giants in either EW, GD, or Kael.
Take the 6 scrolls and the dagger object from Argest, combine all 7 in the machine and recieve a “stupendous tome” lore, no drop. B) Crusader Coffin Bought in West Cabilis, off an undead merchant. Once completed, return the items, and a mob called Zhaoku spawns. Zhaoku will spawn just outside the archway/aqueduct area heading to Sebilis. Kill Zhaoku, he drops the remains of Tynn. The fight estimated to be as difficult as Brother Balatin in Dreadlands, so bring a couple groups along.Eq Plat
The Remains of Zan Fi There is a gnome female in Feerrott near the portal area in to Fear that someone noticed on tracking. You say, ‘Hail, Annaelia Wylassi’ You say, ‘I am interested’ She’ll want you to gather 4 items:
A) A vial of Human blood (From the bandits in NK, or dervishes in North Ro and West Commonlands)
B) A Jade Inlaid Coffin (the large unstackable kind, vendor bought)
C) An essence emerald (created using a necro spell that requires a player over level 45 to die in such a way that they can’t get any experience back. You can usually buy these in the bazaar)
D) A Vial of Clear mana (Enchanter made)
Giving her these things results in her giving you:EverQuest Power Leveling
ResonantEverQuest Platinum Bone Chips
Note: This also apparently drops from “normal mobs” in City ofEverQuest Gold Mist.
VI: This scroll can also be found in Mistmoore. Rather than going right after you enter the double doors, head left, up some stairs. The hallway turns right. Take the 1st left to face a small hallway with a gargoyle on the end. Enter the room on the left and pass through that room and continue to the small bedroom which has a bed with red drapery on it. The ASSISTANT dark librarian drops the 6th scroll. Note: This also apparently drops from “normal mobs” in City of Mist.
PART II After collecting the scrolls, you must see and free the imprisoned Argest. Sugggestion – a shrink potion, and some invis potions will help greatly in Droga, since with shrink, you can walk right through the gates/grates. Argest, the lost and imprisoned crusaderEq Gold is located in Droga’s Temple, located at pos 3400, pos 2900 of the Frontier Mountains. Before entering this dungeon, bring some shrink potions, you’ll know why later. Fall into the pit near the entrance. follow the long cave staying along the RIGHT wall until you come to a small overpassing bridge. Go under this bridge, turn left at end and stay LEFT after that until you get to the JAIL. Then kill many, many penskeepers and penmasters (and their place holders) until you obtain all the keys listed below:
* Bone key
* Bone necklace key
* Btone key
* Bronze key – note, you don’t need to turn this in, it only helps getting to him. Next use theEq Power Leveling keys to get to the inner jail area. Now wait until an iksar prisoner wearing gold chain type armor spawns in the iksar jail cell (during daytime). This is Argest.
Give him the 4 keys and recieve the dagger looking object which will operate the stupendous machine he mentions (directly across in the main jail area, looks like a pottery wheel)
After the fight, you will be able to loot the flute you need off his corpse. He is a difficult monster; you will want to have a couple groups ready to take him out.
The Remains ofEq Plat Grand Master Tynn This part starts in Trakanon’s Teeth, with Crusader Vragor, who spawns at -2800, 2785, -337.
You say, ‘Hail, Crusader Vragor’ You say, ‘no’ You say, ‘yes’
For this part of the quest, you need two items: The Stupendous Tome and a Crusader’s Coffin.
A) The Stupendous Tome
PART I First you must collect 6 scrolls. The scrolls are located in the following places:
I: Kaesora Temple in the field of bonedaoc gold – the “failed crypt raider” drops scroll number I
II: This scroll can be found in the City of Mist on a spectral courier
III: same as II
IV: same as II
V: This scroll can be found in Castle Mistmore located in faydark. It drops off the dark librarian, who is locatedEverQuest Platinum to the right when you go through the double doors near the entrance to the castle. Head up the stairs there, and into the library.
before. If you’re a human, get ready for some crazy FD flopping and sneaking.
You say, “Gandan Tailfist has failed in his task” The book you receive is another flayed tome, which tells you to gather four items: Original fists, the Flute of Zan Fi, the remains of Grandmaster Tynn, and the remains of Zan Fi.
The original fists, which have no power Found in Sebilis, off the monster there called “a fallen monk”.
You say ‘Hail, a fallen monk’ daoc plat Hand him the Shackle of Tynnonium. He won’t give it back, so if you’d like another Shackle, you’ll have to do the quests all over again. He then respawns as “a fallen iksar master”. He’s not too difficult; kill him and loot:
Faintly Glowing Fist Magic Lore No Drop wgt 0.0 MNK HUM, IKS ID as Item:Lore Thule Blessed Fists
The Flute of Zan Fi Go to the Field ofCity of Villains Power Leveling Bone, kill iksar bandits, till you have both parts of the note, return them to Master Raska to recieve the flute. Go to Brother Balatin in the Dreadlands (at the giant spires in the hidden valley) and charm him.Cov Power Leveling Give him the flute and he’ll attack you.
The Solid Black Tome talks about getting something inCity of Villains Power Leveling the lands of dread. This is the “frozen soulstone”; a ground spawn in the yeti caves in Dreadlands. Turn the book and stone in to Prime Hierophant Velk.
J) Dark Grey Sarnak Hide drops on the 3rd floor of Dalrin, in the left side bedroom right before the kly. Turn it in with the book to War Baron Eator for mark of clarity. — Give three marks to Veltar and say: Buy Cov Infamy “What fists of cazic thule?”
Congratulations, you’ve earned:

Shackle of Tynnonium C 12 AC, +10 STR/STA/AGI, + 25HP, +10 MR, 0.1 Weight
Now that you’ve got the final shackle, you can move on to earning the Whistling Fists.
The Whistling Fists To start the Whistling Fists quest, you return to Marthor, under Cabilis, and give him your Shackle of Tynnonium. He returns it, and sends you off to find Gandan In Howling Stones, you hail Gandan Tailfist. He’ll give you back “Flayed Skin Tome”, and ask for your Tynnonium bracer. Give it to him, and you receive a Satchel of Flayed Skin (ID: Satchel of Cazic-Thule) – LORE NODROP Wt 2.0 4 large slots 0% WR Then you are off to the Plane of Fear, to speak to Cazic-Thule himself. How do you speak to Cazic-Thule? Very carefully. Make sure you’ve got decent faction with him and his minions (if you’re an Iksar it shouldn’t be a problem, unless you’ve raided there
of Pain.
D) Greyed Tome Loc of the bag is: -150, -300, in Karnor’s castle. Go in through the underwater tunnel in the basement; when you surface turn around and go upwards towards the Right Courtyard door. As you go up the small set of stairs towards the door, look behind you and you’ll see the bag on the ground. Pick it up and you’ll get the Ring of the Construct. Bring it and the tome back to Master Niska in the Court of Pain.
E) Pale White Tome Get “a woven vine basket” from the ground at the stables in City of Mist,City of Villains Infamy return it to Master Bain.
F) Pure White Tome The Sealed Journal is in Nurga, in the hole to the right facing out over the big waterfall just at zone in, there is aCov Power Leveling waterfall coming out of the wall. You will probably need Levitate to get over to it; it is a ground spawn. Return to master Riska in the Court of Pain with tome to get Mark of Peace.
G) Light Black Tome Get “Chokadai scale” from Chardok – ItCov Infamy spawns at the fort that is in between the zone in and zone out. If you are looking at the fort from the front, it spawns on the balcony that is on the left. Return to the War Baron.
H) Light Grey Tome Kromdul Bracelet drops in the ‘cave’ in FM, where the giants are at. Get that and take to Niska.
I) Solid Black Tome
